One of the great things about what I do here on The Alternative Nation is finding new artists/bands that I’ve never heard before and I’m not just talking about fresh new faces to the music scene, I’m talking about discovering a band that have some time in the game that for whatever reason I have never heard of before and that is exactly what I have here in the form of Red Wanting Blue. With 20 years together as a band Red Wanting Blue have released 11 albums with the most recent dropping back on April 27.

Today I’m sharing the video for latest single ‘High And Dry’, I highly energetic indie rock tune that sounds like American indie rock of the 90’s, my first thought was “it sounds like The Dave Matthews Band just a little heavier”. ‘High And Dry’ is both fresh and modern whilst keeping the essence of the Americana rock sound of the past alive and well.
