Metric have release a second offering off their upcoming as-yet-untiled new album which will drop September 21.

‘Dressed To Suppress’ is a take on the common phrase Dress to Impress and lead singer Emily Haines explains that lyrically the song explores the maze of conflicts we encounter in our attempts at finding and holding onto love; the absurd mating rituals we routinely perform and the vast divide between the desires our appearances can imply and the way we actually feel inside. It’s safe to say this is not a light song and video itself, which you can watch below, is a perfect reflection of that.

I’m always excited for new music from Metric and ‘Dressed To Suppress’ along with ‘Dark Saturday’ are certainly making me want to hear more of the new album.
