Sometimes you have to be direct and get straight to the point and that’s exactly what J.R. aka Ontario native Julianna Riolino does on her new single ‘Be My Man’. With driving guitars full of fuzz and drums that pound, ‘Be My Man’ has all the makings of a true indie classic and firmly puts J.R. on my “Ones To Watch in 2019” list.

Speaking about Be My Man J.R. explains – “The song is about making the same mistake over and over, hoping that you learn from it… At the time of recording, an abusive relationship had depleted my confidence and amplified my self-doubt. This song is a reflection of that period in my life and my response to an angry man. Be My Man’ is a plea to let go of the past and believe in the present. I know what I want – to love and be loved, I don’t care about the past. I’m just thinking about how great the future could be“.
